Who We Are
Digital Machine is a quick-turn CNC machine shop located in California. We have been machining parts since 1987. From our California shop we serve customers across the United States, with a focus on California and the West: Southern California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
We run three shifts and send firm quotes 7 days a week, often within 24 hours. Quantity 1 prototypes are welcome, and so are production runs of thousands: when a prototype turns into a production part, we keep the program, fixturing and inspection plan so reorders repeat.
Customers come to us for CNC milling, mill-turn and turning work held to tight tolerances: ±0.001" routinely on critical features, and ±0.0005" where controlled processes and CMM inspection support it. Every part is inspected to print, and the documentation regulated industries expect comes with the job.
What We Do In-House
Machining, finishing and inspection in our California shop
CNC Milling
5-axis machining centers with spindles to 18,000 rpm, 4-axis horizontal machining centers that index multi-face prismatic parts in fewer setups, large-format vertical mills with 64" × 32" × 30" of travel, and glass-scale precision milling for tenths-level work.
CNC Turning & Mill-Turn
Multi-axis mill-turn centers (up to 9 axes, with a B-axis milling head), Swiss-type lathes for bar 3–32 mm, and CNC lathes handle shafts, sleeves, bushings, pins, fittings and threaded components, backed by manual toolroom lathes and precision chuckers for second operations.
Wire EDM, Grinding & Finishing
5-axis wire EDMs with a rotary axis cut sharp inside corners and hardened steel, and surface grinding holds flat and parallel to 0.0001". Vibratory finishing, bead blast, ultrasonic cleaning and deburring are in-house. Heat treating, anodizing, plating and passivation are done through vetted outside partners, and hardness is verified in-house on our Rockwell tester.
Inspection
CMMs with scanning up to 700 × 1000 × 660 mm, 2D and 3D optical measurement, optical comparator inspection, Rockwell hardness testing, calibrated granite surface plates and precision hand gauges verify dimensions in-process and at final inspection.

Who We Machine For
Our main programs are for aerospace, defense, medical and semiconductor customers. We also machine parts for automotive, energy, marine and general industrial applications. Common materials include aluminum, steels, stainless, tool steels, brass, copper, titanium, Inconel and engineering plastics such as Delrin and PEEK.
